Fightful Select reports that AEW had already planned for Zack to face Danielson at AEW WrestleDream 2023 when The American Dragon made his return to television on the September 2 edition of AEW Collision.
AEW announced the match on Collision this past weekend.
Danielson and Sabre Jr. were originally supposed to face each other at the AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 event, but the Blackpool Combat Club member was unable to compete due to an injury.
The report also states that the storyline with The Acclaimed and House Of Black, culminating with The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn winning the AEW World Trios Championships at All In 2023 was planned out back in the early summer.
