First Finalist Set For MLW Opera Cup, Updated Bracket

Davey Richards has punched his way to the final of the MLW Opera Cup.
On the November 11 episode of MLW Fusion: ALPHA, Richards faced Bobby Fish in a semi-final match. In the previous two rounds, he defeated Tom Lawlor. Inthis bout with Fish, he faced a tough test, and the two competitors waged war in the main event. Fish pushed Richards to the limit, but in the end, the former ROH World Champion made Fish tap out with an ankle lock.

As a result, Richards is set face to TJP or Calvin Tankman in the tournament final, which were held at the MLW War Chamber taping on November 6. (Spoilers are available here.) The bout will air at some point soon on MLW programming.
Richards has been on a comeback tour since he returned to the ring this past June. He had stepped away from the business in 2017 due to knee injuries and his passions outside of wrestling. Now that he’s back, he continues to compete throughout the wrestling world.
