Rhea Ripley is shutting down some post-WrestleMania 36 rumors.
After her loss to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, rumors began to circulate that Rhea Ripley was having issues with her work visa and was returning to Australia until the issue could be resolved. Ripley would quickly debunk those rumors on social media but is now saying that she’s rectifying her visa issues from America.
“Yes, I had to [get my] visa but now I’m having to do it here because [there are] no flights. I can’t get to Australia, and then if I was there I couldn’t get back out,” Ripley tells Metro in the UK. “I had people from work calling me like, ‘Are you in Australia right now?’ I’m like, ‘No, I’m not an idiot! No!’”

She continued, “I sort of just laugh it off. Social media can be very negative at times. If this had been going [around] when I wasn’t as mentally strong as I am now, I would’ve taken it a completely different way and things wouldn’t have been as good… It’s quite funny seeing people saying that I lost because I had to go back to Australia.”
This coming Sunday, Rhea Ripley has the opportunity to regain her NXT Women’s Championship when she faces Io Shirai and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat Match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
