Recently, news broke about WWE’s plan to host its second all-woman event, Evolution 2, marking seven years since the inaugural Evolution in 2018.
Melina, in an episode of the “Ten Count Wrestling” podcast, engaged in a discussion about this speculated event and displayed great affection for the idea. She was quoted as saying,
“Oh my goodness, you know what — okay, I’m ecstatic for Evolution. I don’t have a personal need to be a part of it. Still, I definitely wouldn’t say no. However, it’s not about me. My excitement stems from the fact that it’s an event, a pay-per-view, that’s absolutely necessary. The women in this industry deserve this. They have earned it. It’s something that should be a yearly occurrence. So, I’m nervously excited. I can only wish that the info about it is accurate.”
Melina revealed her desire to be part of WWE Evolution 2 and spoke about some individuals she would want to collaborate with should the opportunity present itself. She went on to disclose,
“And should the chance to have a match come my way…There are just so many talented individuals out there. You know, I often bring up Asuka, and then there’s Trinity — although I would prefer being teammates with her, given my immense love for her and the fact that it’d be tough to contend against her. I just adore her.”
It’s worth mentioning that Melina was not involved in the original Evolution pay-per-view event, which saw the comeback of big names such as Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, Alundra Blayze, Ivory, and numerous others.
