The legal representatives of Janel Grant have initiated a motion within the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court in Connecticut to kickstart the discovery phase against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. This stage is crucial as it allows the exchange of critical documents and proof between the antagonistic parties. Yet, McMahon and other implicated parties are advocating for private arbitration, stating that the discovery process should be postponed until the court denotes if arbitration is applicable.
The solicitors of Grant have drawn a blueprint of the discovery domain they aim to explore which encompasses intramural WWE communications, records of alleged imposition of payments by McMahon to varied women, policies against sexual harassment implemented by WWE, as well as travel documentations for McMahon, Laurinaitis, and Brock Lesnar. A verdict regarding the arbitration argument is yet to be passed by the court.
