Daniel Bryan may no longer be playing an eco-warrior on TV, but he’s still very much dedicated to the cause of saving the Earth. One way he’s doing that is through his new shirt, which is made out of thread spun from reclaimed plastic bottles.
This is something Bryan has talked about in interviews, saying that he never wore his merchandise during his most recent title run because it didn’t fit his character. He was working with the merchandise team to get a shirt out that more fit in with his character, and we see the results today.
Daniel Bryan says he's working with WWE to ensure his next shirts will be made out of recycled materials.
"I think five plastic water bottles will be used for every shirt. So they'll be made out of plastic water bottles and recycled materials."

It’s worth noting that only the Men’s version of the shirt is eco-friendly. The Youth and Women’s variants on offer are made from the same materials as other WWE merchandise. At the very least, being eco-friendly won’t cost you anything extra, as it’s priced the same as other new shirts making their debut in recent times.
The shirt carries the following description on the store page:
“Show your support for Daniel Bryan & help the Earth with this Eco-Friendly T-Shirt! It may look like any regular tee, but it’s actually made from organic cotton and recycled poly rPET blend that makes the fabric more durable and heavyweight. Each shirt saves at least 4 plastic bottles from ending up in a landfill, or worse. Helping to clean our planet will make YOU The Planet’s Champion. Say YES to this Eco-Friendly T-Shirt!”
New sustainable heavier weight fabric with a premium soft hand. Made of approximately 4 recycled RPET bottles per shirt.
With a new recycled shirt now available, we may see Daniel Bryan sporting his own merch when he fights against The Fiend in a Strap Match this weekend.
