In the highly anticipated WWE NXT: The Great American Bash 2024 (Night Two), we anticipate a thrilling singles match between Joe Hendry and Joe Coffey.
During a recent interaction in “The Wrestling Matt” podcast, Hendry opened up about his thoughts on potentially meeting two of the industry’s greatest – John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
In regard to a potential encounter with The Rock, Hendry expressed his thoughts candidly: “I’m unsure if anything else will surpass that Rock concert I witnessed in Toronto hosted by The Rock himself. His kind words mean a lot to me. Perhaps it is possible we could have a guitar-off one day, who knows? It’s worth noting that I’ve already squared-off with Elias. But I’ve just got this innate feeling that a confrontation with The Rock is on the horizon. In my opinion, his concert segment still holds the top ranking.”
Hendry also expressed his belief in the likelihood of an interaction with both The Rock and John Cena in the future: “It’s not simply just wishful thinking on my part. I earnestly believe that it is bound to happen. I envision myself having an in-ring interaction with The Rock, and ultimately even a match with John Cena. Had I predicted this situation four months ago, I doubt anyone would have trusted my foresight. But I believed in it, and so did my team. We were discussing this months before it even came into reality. You could say it was a manifestation, but we had strategically planned to reach this stage. Foreseeing a match with John Cena, I am currently preparing for that. Nobody has explicitly communicated this to me. But then again, I was also not informed in advance that I would be making my debut on NXT. So, I continue to be on my toes and give it everything I’ve got.”
