WWE and The CW Network unveiled a five-year agreement in November 2023, marking the maiden entry of NXT on broadcast television in its 13-year run. NXT is set to air 52 live weekly events throughout the season.

Initiated by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, NXT has been aired weekly since 2012, hosting the most promising talent in sports entertainment. Last year’s WrestleMania featured nearly 90 percent of performers groomed under the NXT division. WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels leads NXT, which is popular among younger audiences. Year to date, NXT’s viewership has increased 20 percent among adults 18-49. WWE Superstars, including Roman Reigns, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, and Charlotte Flair are NXT alumni.

NXT is joining an expanding line-up of live sports on The CW Network, including ACC football, basketball games, Pac-12 football, and LIV Golf. The CW also broadcasts the Emmy®-award winning weekly studio series “Inside the NFL” and will commence with the NASCAR Xfinity Series from Fall 2024. The network will soon provide over 500 hours of sports programming annually.
