On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Zachary Wentz shared his excitement related to The Rascalz reunion on WWE NXT’s previous episode.
In the podcast, he talked about how he felt when fans chanted ‘Welcome back’, saying, “There’s nothing like the ‘Welcome Back’ chants. It is a form of validation. Being Zachary Wentz on WWE television, a name I earned on the indies, is such an incredible feeling.”
Talking about the crowd’s response to their entrance, he added, “So many people were doing the wave during our entrance. It was unexpected. It’s truly a blessing to see The Rascalz, a brand that took years to build with Wes, Trey, and Myron (Reed), on WWE TV. I couldn’t be more satisfied and happy.”
In a separate interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro UK, TNA World Champion Moose discussed TNA’s ongoing collaboration with WWE NXT. He said, “I believe this is the strongest partnership that TNA has ever formed, surpassing our relationships with AEW, AAA and other companies. This partnership is based on mutual respect and benefits both companies greatly. It sets the perfect example for how a pro wrestling relationship should be.”
Although Moose had expressed a desire to join WWE in the past, he said TNA gave him an irresistible offer, saying, “WWE was always a place I wanted to work for, but TNA gave me an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. Moreover, I still had some ambitions I hadn’t achieved yet in TNA.”
When asked about possibly competing against someone from the WWE NXT roster, he said, “I’m always open to face whoever they think I can have a good match with. I will do my best and give 100% as I do with everything else.”
