WWE’s premiere event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV, was the NXT Battleground 2024, and the co-main event was an unforgettable showdown. NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace fought for the NXT Women’s Title, an event that unexpectedly took an exciting turn when Ash By Elegance, famously known as the former WWE star Dana Brooke, found herself in the midst of the action, getting knocked out by Grace.
In a recent conversation with Liam Crowley from ComicBook, Ash touched upon her surprise appearance.
“My goodness, it was so utterly spur-of-the-moment. There I was, navigating through my week with an upcoming appearance on Saturday in Jacksonville. Out of the blue, late Thursday night or perhaps early Friday morning, I get this call. They’re like, ‘Are you free this weekend? We would be thrilled to have you return and do something with TNA and NXT.’ I was taken aback! But of course, I said, ‘Absolutely! Let’s do this!’ They arranged my departure from Jacksonville to Vegas,” spoke Ash.
“Everything was kept low-key, I was practically invisible. I had my cap on, wore a hoodie, put on sunglasses, and went completely incognito. No one had a clue who I was. I made that swift appearance, stealthy surprise attack, and voila, here I am. Took a red-eye return flight to Miami this morning and am currently enjoying a brief one and a half day downtime with my loved ones. Then, I’ll be back on tour for some more TNA action in Chicago. I’m fully scheduled and bustling, baby,” she vividly recounts.
