During the WWE NXT Battleground 2024 event on Sunday night, Roxanne Perez was able to retain her NXT Women’s Championship belt against TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. This was possible due to an unforeseen involvement from Ash By Elegance (previously known as Dana Brooke) and Tatum Paxley.
Even with Grace’s powerful performance, the match took an unexpected twist with Paxley’s attempt to intervene and take the TNA Knockouts Title.
The scenario took another turn when Paxley sprinted to the entrance ramp and Ash emerged, attempting to seize the title.
This interruption gave Perez a chance to deflect Grace’s Juggernaut Driver, resulting in a victory accomplished through a Pop Rocks.
With this win, Perez’s tenure as NXT Women’s Champion has extended to 65 days. She first clinched the title from Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand & Deliver during the WrestleMania 40 weekend.
