In a recent episode of the Jaxxon Podcast, Rey Mysterio shared his thoughts about the popular 2006 comedy, “Nacho Libre.” He articulated how much he enjoyed the film, central to which is a Catholic friar turning luchador, played by the unforgettable Jack Black.
He animatedly declared, “What an outstanding film. The storyline is actually founding on a real life priest from Mexico. Nacho Libre was simply incredible. Jack Black’s performance was beyond impressive. The entire film drew it’s intrigue from a factual personality. An actual story. The account was inspired by Fray Tormenta, a priest in Mexico. Of course, filmmakers added a touch of comedy to it. He operated a church, was a nurturer to children and by nightfall, he assumed his role as a wrestler.”
