Zoey Stark may have cost Becky Lynch her match with Trish Stratus at WWE Night of Champions, but Stark was in an apologetic mood after the bout.
At the May Premium Live Event, Stark aligned herself with Stratus and hit her Z-360 finisher on Lynch, giving The Man a bloodied nose.
Speaking to “Haus of Wrestling,” Stark recalled the incident and admitted that she apologized to Lynch for busting the Irish Superstar open. She said,
“Statement made (laughs). In all seriousness, we did talk, and she was fine. She’s good, like, her nose, you know, it happens.
We’re in a very physical sport. I don’t ever want to hurt anybody, but when it happens, it happens, and you go back and you apologize, and that’s exactly what I did. I went back, ‘I’m so sorry.’It sucks when it happens. It sucks. But it happens.”
During this week’s RAW, Lynch defeated Stark in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The Man will face Trish Stratus at WWE Payback this weekend in a Steel Cage match.
