Zilla Fatu, a progeny of Umaga, is the latest inductee into the wrestling dynasty known as ‘The Bloodline’. He has his sights set on potentially making it to WWE one day.
During a conversation with interviewer Joey Franchize, Fatu expounded on his thoughts and feelings about being born into such a prestigious wrestling lineage.
“It feels good, Uce. It feels good. I’m happy. I feel like we all deserve it because I got people that came before us. The pioneers of our family such as Afa, Sika, Snuka, The Rock and Peter Maivia set the bedrock for us. Meshing this with the efforts of personalities like The Rock, Rikishi, my uncle, [Yokozuna] who took us to greater heights. Followed by the current generation like Roman [Reigns], The Usos, The Bloodline, who are pushing the boundaries further. So it’s definitely a family affair, I’m delighted and feel privileged to be a part of this. Currently an independent, but definitely looking to climb the ranks,” voiced Fatu.
The Bloodline faction within WWE consists of personalities like Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, and Zilla as well. He was also probed about whether he would contemplate joining AEW or WWE.
“Opting for WWE, Uce. It’s the principal choice. Considering my family’s history and ties with WWE. Hence, the desire not to be the first Fatu or Anoaʻi breaking the tradition and moving to AEW. It’s critical that the journey we undertake must closely align with our goal. Everyone’s journey differs. And my narrative is quite different from that of Solo’s, The Usos’, Roman’s and Jacob [Fatu]’s. I’m on a new chapter, exploring this from a whole new perspective [laughs],” Fatu commented.
