In a recent interview with Scott Fishman at a WWE 2K24 launch event, WWE Superstar Zelina Vega expressed her desire to team with her hero Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 40.
Vega said, “In my head, I see, and maybe clip this at some point because I feel like if this ends up happening, I said it here first, but I would love to have a match at WrestleMania with me and Rey and Carlito, Joaquin, and Cruz against Santos, Elektra, and whoever other goons he wants to add to the mix. But that match would be incredible. So even if it’s just me and Rey versus Goon number one and Goon number two, I think it’d be really cool to just be able to say, man, I was on WrestleMania with Rey Mysterio. That’s my hero. That’s crazy. So that’s what I would want, for sure.”
On a recent edition of the “Lightweights” podcast, Maxxine Dupri discussed acquiring help from fellow Alpha Academy member Chad Gable and how the former Olympic athlete helped her improve in the ring.

On how Chad Gable has helped her in the ring: “He lives in a different state so anytime that I’m able to get in the ring with him before TV on Monday’s I always will. That’s been a game changer for me, he’s so kind to spend his time doing that, he does not have to do that, so I am really, really appreciative he took the time to do that.”
On Gable’s wrestling mind: “He’s so brilliant when it comes to wrestling, he has such a good mind with it and that’s something I don’t have at all. So I have to ask him, ‘Wait, what should I do here?’ He always knows.”
On learning from other Superstars at the WWE Performance Center: “I love the opportunity to learn from any of them because I’m like, ‘I need it, someone come with me and help me, please.’”
