Zelina Vega Defeats Mickie James, Earns Title Shot Against Asuka

This week on WWE RAW, Zelina Vega faced off with Mickie James to determine Asuka’s next challenger for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship. Vega has broken away from Andrade and Angel Garza, and she has her sights set on Asuka’s title. Meanwhile, James lost a title match to Asuka last week when the referee controversially stopped the match. Vega immediately took the fight to James, but the future Hall of Famer gained the upper hand by dragging Vega hair-first around the ring. She blasted Vega with a boot to the face.

Vega locked in an Octopus hold, but James escaped by ramming Vega into the turnbuckles. Vega continued to control the match, but James rallied and planted her with a flapjack. A seated senton off the top rope gave James more momentum, but Vega sent her face-first into the ropes. She nailed a Backstabber for the win.
