Renowned wrestler Booker T has expressed his keen interest in seeing MJF become a part of WWE, but holds deep respect for the ex-World Champion’s decision to remain with AEW.
MJF, marking his return to AEW, faced off against Adam Cole at the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 event. In a clear signal of his commitment to the promotion, he revealed a tattoo confirming his decision.
During a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T discussed the possibility of MJF partaking in WWE matches and expressed his respect for the choice the former World Champion had made. He stated,
“Indeed, I would’ve been thrilled to see him compete in the WWE. That’s not to say it may not still happen in future. This young man has a bright career ahead, but his decision to choose AEW, considering his own and his family’s interests, commands nothing but respect. It’s the only appropriate response.
“This is the path he has chosen for his life and his career. The only thing one can do is to respect that choice and wish him every success. As for me, my advice to MJF is to keep up the good work. Right now, he’s on fire. I am excited to see how far he can go in this business because his potential is astronomical.”
In the past, MJF alluded to a ‘bidding war’ between AEW and WWE for his wrestling expertise. Fans will next see him on the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.
