During a recent episode of the podcast “UpUpDownDown Save Point,” WWE Superstar Xavier Woods shared his initial encounter with Austin Theory. Woods reminisced about the time his close friend Simon Serman encouraged him to observe a young wrestler at a training school, who would turn out to be Austin Theory.
Quoting Woods, he recalled, “Simon informed me about this young trainee at a wrestling school, insisting I should come and take a look at him because he has something special. So, I went to this wrestling academy and saw Austin Theory. After wrestling with him a bit, it became clear he was skilled. I suggested he should join the profession, and the rest, as they say, is history.”
In a recent WWE SmackDown edition, Theory and Waller squared off against Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens but ended up on the losing side.
In a separate event at Fanatics Fest NYC, WWE United States Champion LA Knight reflected on his Pitch Black Match against Bray Wyatt at the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble event. Speaking about the challenging match conditions, Knight quoted: “Truthfully, visibility was a major issue. Sure, there were some light spots, giving you a semblance of reference points to navigate. But for the most part, obstacles came from unpredictable angles which added an extra layer of difficulty. It wasn’t my best night in the ring, but I choose to move forward.”
Wyatt emerged as the victor of the Pitch Black Match at that event.
