During his “Kurt Angle Show,” the Olympian spoke about WWE stacking the show during their head-to-head with AEW Dynamite.

“I think that WWE is ruthless. I guess they heard about Edge being on AEW. They loaded up NXT. It’s a great idea. They are ruthless man. They want to get ratings and they don’t want anyone to beat them, that’s for sure.”

“This is great for the fans … pulling out all these Superstars. It’s what the fans want. It’s what the fans need.”

WWE’s strategy certainly paid off with NXT scoring 921,000 viewers, the third-highest viewership for the gold brand since the show arrived on the USA Network in 2019.

By comparison, AEW Dynamite scored 609,000 viewers, the lowest viewership for an episode of AEW’s flagship show since October 2021.
