The Holiday Tour live event had 15,831 fans in attendance with 14,300 paid. This is the highest since 2012, which had 14,500 attendees.

Much of the success can be attributed in part to CM Punk, as ticket sales skyrocketed after the Second City Saint was announced for the MSG event.

WWE Sets Record for Highest-Grossing Live Event at Madison Square Garden

In a recent announcement, it has been revealed that WWE has set a new record for the highest-grossing live event at Madison Square Garden (MSG). The event, which took place on December 26th as part of the Holiday Tour, has become the highest-grossing domestic non-televised event in WWE history.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the paid attendance for the event was the largest for a post-Christmas show at MSG in over a decade. This is a significant achievement for WWE, as it demonstrates the continued popularity and success of their live events.

The Holiday Tour live event saw an impressive turnout, with 15,831 fans in attendance, out of which 14,300 were paid attendees. This attendance figure is the highest since 2012 when 14,500 fans attended a similar event at MSG. The increase in ticket sales can be attributed, in part, to the appearance of CM Punk, a beloved and highly anticipated wrestler, who was announced to be part of the MSG event.

CM Punk’s involvement in the event generated a lot of excitement among wrestling fans, leading to a surge in ticket sales. His presence added an extra level of anticipation and drew in a larger audience. This demonstrates the impact that popular wrestlers can have on the success of live events.

WWE’s ability to consistently draw large crowds and set records for live events is a testament to their dedicated fan base and the enduring popularity of professional wrestling. Madison Square Garden has long been a historic venue for WWE, hosting some of the most memorable moments in wrestling history. The recent record-breaking event further solidifies MSG’s status as a premier location for WWE shows.
