Speaking on a recent edition of the “Good Karma Wrestling” podcast, McIntyre commented on WWE’s most recent round of cuts to the roster. He said,

“I hope they are inspired. From what I gather, the company literally tells people, ‘Do a Drew.’ My brother once said ‘you’ve become a verb.’ You have to go out there and reinvent yourself, grow your brand and make yourself more valuable. I believe that’s the advice that the company literally gives people and some of the Superstars that are released and come to me to ask for advice. Hopefully they’ll look at the template of what I did.”

Drew McIntyre will challenge WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at next month’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Drew McIntyre’s Success Story: A Template for Released WWE Talent

In the world of professional wrestling, success is often measured by the championships won and the impact made on fans. One wrestler who has experienced a remarkable journey to the top is Drew McIntyre. After being released from WWE in 2014, McIntyre took the independent wrestling scene by storm and eventually made his triumphant return to the company in 2017. Since then, he has captured the WWE Championship twice in 2020 and has become an inspiration for released WWE talent.

Speaking on a recent edition of the “Good Karma Wrestling” podcast, McIntyre shed light on the advice given to released WWE superstars. He revealed that the company encourages them to “do a Drew” and duplicate his success outside of the promotion. McIntyre’s brother even jokingly mentioned that he had become a verb, signifying the impact he has had on the industry.

The key advice given to released talent is to reinvent themselves, grow their brand, and make themselves more valuable. McIntyre himself followed this template during his time away from WWE. He honed his skills on the independent circuit, building a reputation as a top-tier performer. This dedication and hard work paid off when he made his return to WWE and quickly rose through the ranks.

McIntyre’s story serves as an inspiration for released WWE talent who may be feeling uncertain about their future. It shows that with determination, perseverance, and a willingness to adapt, success can still be achieved outside of the company. By taking control of their own careers and actively working to improve their skills and brand, released talent can create new opportunities for themselves.

The success of McIntyre also highlights the changing landscape of professional wrestling. With the rise of independent promotions and the global reach of social media, wrestlers now have more avenues to showcase their talents and connect with fans. This opens up new possibilities for released talent to thrive and build their own following.

In addition to his in-ring success, McIntyre’s story also serves as a reminder of the importance of personal growth and self-improvement. He constantly strives to better himself both inside and outside the ring, which has contributed to his success. Released talent can take this advice to heart and focus on developing their skills, expanding their knowledge, and building their personal brand.

Looking ahead, McIntyre’s upcoming match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia is another opportunity for him to showcase his talent and continue his remarkable journey. It serves as a reminder that setbacks can be overcome, and new opportunities can arise even after being released from a major promotion.

In conclusion, Drew McIntyre’s success story serves as a template for released WWE talent. His journey from being released to becoming a two-time WWE Champion is a testament to his determination, hard work, and ability to reinvent himself. Released talent can draw inspiration from McIntyre’s story and strive to duplicate his success by taking control of their own careers, growing their brand, and continuously improving themselves. With the changing landscape of professional wrestling, there are more opportunities than ever for released talent to thrive and make their mark on the industry.
