Anthony Henry, one half of the tag team ‘WorkHorsemen’ along with JD Drake, recently revealed that the duo was on the brink of signing with WWE before an unforeseen injury upset plans. Henry expressed his thoughts on the possible trajectory their professional wrestling careers could have taken if they had ventured into the WWE territory.

Henry took to Twitter to share some lesser-known facts about how the injury disrupted their WWE plans. He mentioned his speculation about their possible journey and current status if the signing had happened.

The tweet by Anthony Henry, a member of the WorkHorsemen duo, read as follows:
“Something not many know: @RealJDDrake was supposed to be signed, alongside myself, for WWE. Obviously, that didn’t happen. I often wonder about the alternate course our careers might have run had we actually signed. I believe we would still end up at our current place but the journey would indeed have differed.”

Soon, when a follower suggeted that WWE refused Drake considering his size, Henry set the record straight by confirming that an injury was the actual cause of their plans falling through. He made a point about avoiding unnecessary derogatory remarks about one’s physique and clarified the truth behind their WWE signing.

The response by Anthony Henry on Twitter was:
“I can’t get my head around why some people feel the need to make disparaging remarks about others. A comment that was unnecessary and seemingly aimed at causing harm was made. For clarity, WWE did indeed show interest in him. His physical stature had no bearing on him not getting signed. The truth is it was an injury withdrawal.”

Henry parted ways with his AEW contract during April while undergoing injury recovery. However, Tony Khan has reassured him of his rejoining once the recovery process is completed.
