WWE To Open Up More Sections Of Ford Field After SummerSlam Ticket Sales Surge

WWE held its Q1 earnings call today and CEO Nick Khan stated that ticket sales have skyrocketed so much so that WWE is now opening up more sections of Ford Field for SummerSlam after selling over 32,000 tickets already. Khan said,

“More tickets were sold at on sale for this upcoming SummerSlam than any other domestic WWE show in our company’s history, outside of WrestleMania. In the coming weeks, we expect to be opening up new sections of Ford Field, so we can keep up with the demand.”

WWE has gained a 41% jump in live event revenue, going from $23 million to $32.6 million in Q1, and an increase in average attendance from 5,700+ to 7,800+.
