WWE SmackDown Viewership Hits 2021 High On August 13
The viewership for WWE Friday Night SmackDown hits an overall high for 2021 and the highest viewership for a show outside of the ThunderDome since March 20, 2020.
Spoiler TV’s preliminary network ratings report shows that an average of 2.499 million viewers watched SmackDown on Friday night, higher than the 2.047 million people that watched the week before. In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.6 rating, making it the top show on Friday night.
This week’s episode featured an intense verbal confrontation between John Cena and Roman Reigns ahead of their match for the WWE Universal Championship at the SummerSlam pay-per-view. Also, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair signed the contract for their upcoming Women’s Championship match at WWE SummerSlam, with Sasha getting some help from Carmella and Zelina Vega before standing tall over the incumbent champion to end the show.
