In 2024, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) achieved an astonishing record at their Money in the Bank (MITB) pay-per-view event. The conference held after the show was where Triple H revealed that the 2024 MITB event made history with an unprecedented arena gate record in Canadian events history.
As previously discussed on eWrestling News, the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada was packed with a staggering number of 19,858 wrestling enthusiasts.
Furthermore, the post-MITB 2024 press gathering offered an opportunity for CM Punk to update fans on his health condition after suffering a triceps tear during the 2024 Royal Rumble event. Punk explained,
“I like keeping people guessing. I’ll admit, I’m feeling good and eager to make a comeback. There are measures implemented to safeguard me from myself, protocols I wish had been in place a decade ago, but let’s leave the past behind. The personnel and facilities are excellent. I’ve been exhausting myself to recover and make a comeback as soon as possible. It’s all for the fans, whether they’re for me or against me, I aim to return and keep giving all the special moments stripped away from me during my injury. Accidents happen. It’s a physical sport. It’s unfortunate, but I’ve been pushing the rehabilitation progress faster. My team has been supportive, but they’ve also emphasized there’s no need to rush. I appreciate that.”
