WWE, known for its wrestling spectacles, is considering strengthening its foothold in Mexico, according to sources.
Insider reports from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggest a yet unimplemented idea whereby WWE would partner with UFC and its Mexico City-based Performance institute to groom upcoming talent. Presently, the facility is being utilized for training Mexican MMA fighters. The proposed idea pivots on the premise of using the same facility for professional wrestling training as well.
An upcoming live WWE event at the Arena Ciudad is set to take place tomorrow night, with every one of the nearly 17,000 tickets already sold. The match between Cody Rhodes and Santos Escobar will be the highlight of the event.
