WWE Secures First Spirits Sponsorship with Wheatley Vodka for WrestleMania 40

In a groundbreaking move, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced its first-ever spirits sponsorship with Wheatley Vodka, which will serve as the official vodka of WrestleMania 40. This partnership marks a significant milestone for WWE as it expands its brand collaborations into the spirits industry.

According to a report from Sports Business Journal, WWE has successfully secured a deal with Sazerac Brands, the parent company of Wheatley Vodka. This agreement will see Wheatley Vodka being recognized as the “official” vodka of the highly anticipated pay-per-view event, WrestleMania 40.

The collaboration between WWE and Wheatley Vodka extends beyond the event sponsorship. Wheatley Vodka will also sponsor a six-part multimedia series on WWE’s social media platforms. This series will feature Cody Rhodes, a prominent WWE Superstar, conducting interviews with other wrestling icons. This unique content offering will undoubtedly engage fans and provide them with exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into their favorite wrestlers’ lives.

This is not the first time that WWE has partnered with a beverage company for its major events. Last year, Mike’s Hard Lemonade sponsored the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 39. This year, they are set to sponsor another significant WWE pay-per-view event, SummerSlam. Such collaborations not only enhance the viewing experience for fans but also provide valuable exposure for the sponsoring brands.

Furthermore, WWE is actively seeking an official beer partner to further expand its brand partnerships. Grant Norris-Jones, TKO EVP and Head of Global Partnerships, stated, “Our strategy now at TKO is to open up new categories and sign bigger, broader deals. We’re out in the market looking hard for an official beer partner [for WWE].” This demonstrates WWE’s commitment to diversifying its partnerships and exploring new avenues for growth.

The partnership between WWE and Wheatley Vodka signifies the increasing popularity and recognition of professional wrestling as a mainstream entertainment industry. By aligning with a reputable spirits brand like Wheatley Vodka, WWE is not only elevating its own brand image but also solidifying its position as a major player in the sports and entertainment landscape.

As WWE continues to expand its partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration, fans can expect more exciting developments in the future. The inclusion of spirits sponsorships adds a new dimension to the WWE viewing experience and further cements the organization’s status as a global entertainment phenomenon.
