WWE has been upping the ante by hosting pay-per-view events in international locations and broadening the tour itinerary of NXT.
Earlier this month, this fresh strategy for NXT kicked off when the CW Network broadcasted the first two episodes from Chicago and St. Louis respectively. This week saw NXT making a comeback to the Performance Center based in Orlando.
A face-off between WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday took place on the 8th of October and another one is likely to unfold on the 6th of November. WWE has plans of pivoting NXT from its usual Tuesday slot to Wednesday to circumvent clashes with the US presidential election.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is set to host a show at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, with a high probability of the date being November 6 for NXT.
As the report puts it, “The event’s occurrence has been confirmed by numerous sources, the precise date has not. NXT is set to change to an unconventional evening, and I presume it will be well-equipped to face off against AEW.”
This will mark WWE’s inaugural event at the venue, famously known as the former home to ECW before it closed down in 2001.
