Thankfully, there may not be another wave of talent cuts on the WWE main roster, according to Dave Meltzer, but the same cannot be said for NXT of as of yet.

On his latest “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez, Meltzer made mention that April 15 may be the only day we experience releases from the main roster.

“Based on what I was told tonight, I don’t think there will be any other main roster talent cut. As far as NXT names I’m sure there’s a lot more names that have not come out as far as on-air talent.” Meltzer also states that he doesn’t think there’s going to be any more producers being furloughed as we happened to see yesterday.

April 15, 2020 will go down in pro wrestling infamy as a very somber day for the industry as a whole, as long-time talent both on screen and backstage experienced lay-offs during a time when the global pandemic has caused a massive shutdown of everyday employment has been halted. WWE however, became exempt from such over the course of last weekend when Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, deemed such activity “essential business.”
