WWE recently dismissed a report from The Wrap claiming that TKO board member Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a habit of being late to sets.

The report, citing a supposed “WWE insider,” claimed that The Rock was three hours late for his match with Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes on the inaugural night of WrestleMania 40.

However, Chris Legentil, Head of WWE’s Global Communications & Talent Relations, denied these claims, stating, “Dwayne was not only on time for WrestleMania, he was hours early to help with rehearsal — and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire run.”

This official statement from WWE was further reinforced by reliable sources within the company, who confirmed that The Rock had no issues with tardiness or any other kind during his feud with Rhodes leading up to and including WrestleMania XL.

The Rock’s only instance of lateness was for a ‘WWE World’ fan appearance due to his other commitments with WWE and heavy traffic in Philadelphia, PA.

The Wrap‘s report focused on alleged issues surrounding Amazon-MGM’s upcoming holiday-themed blockbuster Red One, set to hit theaters on November 15th before streaming on Prime Video.

However, an Amazon-MGM spokesperson dismissed these reports, stating, “Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks have been incredible partners on ‘Red One.’ Any reporting that implies that we got to this point with him showing up seven-eight hours late to set is both ridiculous and false.”
