WWE RAW Recap (12/9/2024)
The episode kicks off with CM Punk, who seems to be in a bit of a sour mood. A couple of weeks past, he told Seth Rollins that he doesn’t concern himself with him, but lately, he has found himself mulling over Rollins. Despite wanting to leave it all behind, a face-off in the ring with Rollins was inevitable. But Punk isn’t pleased that Rollins’ loud music constantly interrupts and undermines him. In Punk’s view, owning Elton John’s sunglasses doesn’t transform Rollins into Elton John, and idolizing Punk doesn’t mean Rollins comes close to being him.
Seth publicly confessed to being rejected and labelled himself as the villain. Acknowledging his own villainy, Punk considers Seth as his failure, yet offers to grant him the wrestling lesson he desperately sought for free. The bad news for Seth though, is Punk’s last mentor was Drew McIntyre. Is Seth tougher than Drew? The Boston crowd doesn’t think so, and they doubt there will be enough staples to hold Seth together after their match. And if Seth needs more incentive to meet him in the ring, Punk incites a CM Punk chant.
Seth Rollins emerges from amongst the spectators, echoing the CM Punk chants. Seth believes that life’s perception matters. He figured if he saw things from the fans perception, he might perceive himself differently. Regardless of where he looked from, he concluded that he was still a jerk. Punk sarcastically commends Seth for entering through the crowd, affirming that’s where he belongs. Seth is okay with that – he loves being among the fans and will always be one. As a fan, he boasts of having been to more WrestleMania events than Punk. This meeting escalates heavily until it becomes a full-on brawl. Security quickly steps in to restrain both participants.
The Battle’s Result: Victor:
