During a conversation with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi regarding the WWE-UFC merger, WWE President Nick Khan was asked about WWE’s interest in Punk.

“Listen, we only have respect for Phil. We appreciate his run here. We appreciate what he did and tried to do with the UFC. Not many people can actually get in there and do what he did. So, when we have respect for Phil, we wish him nothing but the best.”

CM Punk is one of the most iconic professional wrestlers in the history of the sport. He is a former WWE champion and has been involved in some of the most memorable storylines in wrestling history. In recent months, Punk has been at the center of speculation regarding his return to WWE.

Punk recently left AEW after a brief stint with the company, and there have been rumors that he may be open to returning to WWE in December. However, it is unclear whether Punk has a non-compete clause as part of his release from AEW, which could potentially prevent him from returning to WWE.

When asked about the possibility of Punk returning to WWE, President Nick Khan stated that the company has nothing but respect for Punk and wishes him nothing but the best. While Khan did not confirm or deny the possibility of Punk’s return, his comments suggest that WWE may be open to the idea.

At this point, it is unclear whether Punk will return to WWE or not. However, it is clear that WWE has a great deal of respect for Punk and his accomplishments in the sport. Only time will tell if Punk will make his return to WWE, but it is certainly an exciting prospect for wrestling fans.
