Carlito’s offensive comment, which he made in a WWE RAW episode dated October 21st, has been removed from the replay version available on Peacock.
The WWE superstar, who is part of the Judgment Day team, received criticisms after making a comment during a backstage scene where IYO SKY and Kairi Sane exit the scene, Carlito can be heard saying, “I need to learn Chinese.”
The episode, after the standard 30-day delay, became accessible on Peacock and the WWE Network, Pwinsider confirmed that the specific line has been omitted.
In the revised version, the exchange has been silenced, and the view focuses on Adam Pearce, avoiding any shot of Carlito mentioning the comment.
After the airing, it was understood that the remark was not scripted and drew the ire of several people within the WWE network. Ironically, both IYO SKY and Sane are of Japanese descent and have previously had encounters with crowds telling SKY to “Go back to China.”
This week’s WWE NXT event saw attendances from UK independent wrestlers Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, and Molly Spartan.
The wrestling trio were visible among the audience at Tuesday’s event. Rhio is the reigning PROGRESS Women’s Champion, whereas Mayfairs is a regular contender in the same league. Spartan showcases her talents at several platforms, including Insane Championship Wrestling, TNT, Blockbuster Pro, and more.
As of now, no confirmation is available on whether their presence was a mere visit or signifies something major is to come.
