WWE NXT Star Returns To The Ring At Live Event

JD McDonagh suffered a detached retina that put him on the sidelines for a few weeks. Last week, he returned to WWE NXT television despite not being medically cleared. 

On Friday night at the NXT live event in Dada City, Florida, JD returned to in-ring action, beating Dante Chen in a singles match.

It was noted by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio this morning that the return of JD to in-ring action was a “pretty quick” one. 

Bryan Alvarez brought up how JD’s injury was supposed to keep him out of action for a couple of weeks, but he returned earlier than expected.
