WWE NXT CW Premiere Predictions? | Question Of The Day

Another exciting eWrestlingNews Question of the Day is here!

We are eagerly waiting for the WWE NXT premiere on the CW network tonight. WWE has been preparing for this grand show, and as evident from the card promising two championship contests, a street fight, and appearances by talent from the main roster—it’s going to be a blast!

The question I am posing today is: “What’s your forecast for the CW premiere of NXT?”

Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

Here’s my take…

Below is the complete lineup and my commentary on each segment.

NXT Championship Match: Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams with CM Punk as guest referee

Trick Williams seems poised to reclaim the title, right? Perhaps Drew McIntyre might intervene and distract CM Punk, leading to a spectacular cheer from the audience. Ethan Page might take advantage of this chaos and cheat to win with another referee counting the pin. However, if this happens, it merely prolongs this feud until Halloween Havoc. I’d prefer to see Trick win this title here and introduce a new contender for the event unless they setup a themed match between Trick and Page to counterbalance the cheating.

Either way, Trick will have this title by month end, so why not here?

NXT Women’s Championship Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia

Until last week’s odd NXT ending with Stephanie Vaquer’s unexpected appearance, I was completely convinced Giulia would take the title. Now, I’m contemplating that Giulia might seem to be on the verge of victory, only for Vaquer to interfere. This could lead to setting a Triple Threat for Halloween Havoc.

Depending on what happens in the Williams/Page match and given the WWE would likely avoid two murky endings to begin the CW premiere, I still hold Giulia as my eventual choice for the title. But a retention from Perez with Giulia still looking impressive despite the slight isn’t out of the question.

Street Fight: Wes Lee vs. Zachary Wentz

Given his victory at No Mercy, Lee has to win here. Lee is the signed NXT Superstar for the future, whereas Wentz, a TNA performer, may have exhausted his WWE appearances. Therefore, having Wentz win twice and leaving Lee behind as a loser makes no sense.

I’m anticipating intriguing stunts from them in this match.

The Miz hosts Miz TV with guests Oba Femi & Tony D’Angelo

This could be interesting considering The Miz’s recent heel turn. Regardless, The Miz may set the stage for Tony D’Angelo to shine against another heel. Let’s see how they make use of this contract signing.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill appear

Even though they don’t appear to have anything particular planned, it’s odd to see them also labelled as the “hosts” of Bad Blood this weekend. I’m guessing they’ll make their appearance in the Fatal Influence segment.

Jaida Parker & Lola Vice vs. Two Members of Fatal Influence

Regardless of who the members from Fatal Influence are, it’s likely Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne will be chosen, leaving Jazmyn Nyx to interfere from outside, costing Parker and Vice the victory. This is unless Belair and Cargill step in and counter Nyx.
