Before her 2025 comeback at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, Nikki Bella was training with Natalya at the acclaimed Hart Dungeon. Natalya received high praise from Nikki, who attributed her renewed confidence to these training sessions.
On a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Natalya reminisced about their time together and applauded Nikki’s undying passion for the sport. She recalled,
“Nikki has been flying in every week to train with me privately. She hasn’t lost her touch for sure; her passion for this sport is still palpable. Last week, when Nikki visited Tampa, we shared some old memories. It was a moment of nostalgic deja vu as Nikki, Brie, and I started our careers on the same week at WWE. I remember when we were just starting out, all three of us earning the basic pay, but it was never about the money for us, it was more about our passion for the work.
Natalya went on to share, “When I just started out, I didn’t have enough funds to buy wrestling gear. So, The Bella Twins graciously gave me some of their clothes. In those early years, we were just trying to figure things out. I moved to Florida with only one suitcase, leaving everything behind in Calgary, thinking I would return. But in reality, I didn’t go back as my life with WWE was mainly in the states. So I used to take the clothes that The Bella Twins gave me, cut them up and bedazzle them with my own sequins. When I look back now, I realize how far I have come.”
