WWE: Keith Lee’s Comments About Paying His Medical Bills Are ‘Erroneous’

After a message from Keith Lee seemed to imply that he was paying for his own medical bills while injured, WWE has responded by denying the claim.
In a statement sent to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and other outlets, WWE emphatically denied any rumors or statements that the company forced Lee to pay for his own medical bills.
“Keith Lee’s recent comments implying WWE failed to pay his medical bills are erroneous,” said the company. “WWE has an extensive healthcare program for the medical care of its in-ring performers and Mr. Lee was part of this program while with the company.
Should Mr. Lee have any concerns over the payment of medical bills, he is welcome to address them with WWE.”

The statement comes as a result of a recent statement from Lee; in a tweet earlier this week, he thanked his fans for their support and looked back on this year, reflecting on a variety of obstacles.
In the message, Lee said that he had paid all of his medical bills throughout the issues he dealt with earlier this year, and that he found it “amusing” that people would believe anyone else paid for his expenses.
Thank you for all the positivity that has been dropped on me the past few days as well as the birthday wishes. I love you. Worry not. We are not done. We work.#BaskInMyGlory #iAmLimitless pic.twitter.com/NkxqL6qkWM
