Jeff and Matt Hardy have expressed their intention to conclude their wrestling careers within the WWE ring, where they initially made their foray into success.
Matt Hardy conversed about the potentiality of returning to WWE on a recent episode of his podcast “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy”. The wrestler expressed his desire for the WWE comeback saying:
“WWE was our birthplace. Without the WWE, we wouldn’t have become who we ultimately became, these tag team legends, however people view us or the worst tag team ever. You know, Matt and Jeff Hardy. Whatever you think our legacy is, that happened because of WWE giving us an opportunity, obviously, so that will always be viewed as our home.”
He went on to add:
“We’ve said this before and I’ve said this on this podcast, ad nauseam that I think we want to finish in WWE now because that is our home. That seems like the right way to do it.”
Matt Hardy departed from WWE in 2020 and Jeff followed suit with his release in 2021. Both brothers later became a part of AEW but severed ties with the organization within the same year.
The Hardy brothers have subsequently realigned with TNA Wrestling. Currently, Jeff is on a break from on-screen appearances while Matt made futile attempts at obtaining the TNA World Championship.
