Previously reported by eWn, it was shared that WWE producer, Lee Fitting, had been allegedly terminated from ESPN due to accusations of inappropriate behavior involving women.

In response to this development, a representative from WWE maintained a stance of no comment at that moment.

A report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter highlighted that an inside source from the WWE disclosed that Fitting’s complications were known to the public before his hire.

The insider was quoted saying, “This is the baggage (the publicity) that comes with the hire.”

It has been suggested by another individual that Fitting’s circumstance mirrors those of Vince McMahon or John Laurinaitis.

Although Fitting’s work for WWE has been acknowledged positively, there has been no indication from the company of this issue being anything beyond a transient headline.

This isn’t an isolated occurrence where WWE has brought on team members despite awareness of such allegations. Jamie Horowitz, who was the former Executive Vice President of Development and Digital, was hired despite being dismissed from FOX Sports due to a sexual harassment investigation.

Horowitz was eventually let go in 2023 following the alliance of UFC and WWE.
