The goal of the company’s creative team is to give narratives that captivate, enacted by the world’s most unique, vibrant, and larger-than-life personalities, whether they’re appearing on or off the screen.
Primary Duties:
Come up with detailed, emotionally complex characters for WWE Talent.
Script evocative, thought-provoking, and absorbing storylines for RAW, SmackDown, and select programming on the WWE Network.
Work collaboratively with a team of writers to create captivating narratives that grip a global audience across multiple demographics.
Revise individual scripted segments and review entire episodes to ensure continuity and flow.
Apply consumer insights and social media to create storylines that resonate with the WWE brand and stay true to each Talent’s skills and history.
Weekly travel to our shows and rotating travel to Premium Live Events.
Participate in and contribute to weekly creative writing team meetings at downtown Stamford, Connecticut HQ.
Qualifications:
At least five years of experience writing for TV or Film.
Producing and Directing experience a plus.
Working on professional TV or Film sets is a benefit.
Experience in Live TV production is beneficial.
Prior experience working with On-Screen Talent, Creative Writers, and Producers.
Understanding of WWE’s demographic and audience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Film, TV, Drama, Media Studies, Communications, or another similar field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
