WWE Friday Night SmackDown Drew Record-Low Viewership Since Moving To FOX

Friday Night Smackdown Results

Blame the hot dogs, hamburgers and fireworks but last night’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown hit a record-low in viewership last night.

On a show that featured Drew Gulak vs. AJ Styles, Matt Riddle vs. John Morrsion and a convoluted closing segment between Jeff Hardy and Sheamus (via satellite), the July 3 SmackDown averaged 1.776 million viewers which is down from 2.173 million viewers on June 26 episode.

This week’s is a record low since the show moved to FOX and down over a 100,000 from their previous low which came on May 1 with 1.918 million, leaving WWE heading into Independence Day weekend feeling as frostbitten as Matt Riddle’s tootsies.
