WWE is in the process of securing a trademark for a forthcoming female wrestler. The wrestling organization submitted an application for the name “ZARIA” to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on October 22, falling under the category of entertainment services.
Recently, WWE has been showcasing vignettes during their NXT shows in anticipation of the inaugural appearance of a character named DELTA at NXT Halloween Havoc 2024. Nonetheless, a newer vignette featured on NXT revealed a name change, with DELTA now known as ZARIA. This new talent from Mexico was officially signed onto WWE earlier in the year.
Here’s the formal description provided for the “ZARIA” trademark:
“Entertainment services, particularly wrestling exhibitions and performances put on by a professional wrestler and entertainer across broadcast mediums like television and radio, and through the internet or commercial online service; supplying wrestling news and information over a worldwide computer network; sharing information related to sports and entertainment on an online community portal; maintaining a website focused on sports entertainment information; fan club activities, especially arranging sporting events in the wrestling arena for fan club members; coordinating social entertainment activities for the sheer enjoyment of wrestling fan club members; distributing online newsletters focused on sports entertainment; online diaries, known as blogs, centered on sports entertainment.”
