WWE Inc. recently initiated a trademark filing procedure for a tag team making a comeback. On October 17, the intellectual property office of the United States received a trademark application from WWE, with the title “War Raiders”, categorized under entertainment services.
This week on WWE Monday Night RAW, the iconic duo known as the Viking Raiders made a noteworthy return, adopting their new title, the War Raiders.
The popular tag team members, Erik and Ivar, announced their comeback on Monday during a match where they played the role of the War Raiders. They emerged victorious against Alpha Academy, moving ahead in the WWE World Tag Team Championship tournament as a result.
This marked the first time in a year that the War Raiders teamed up in the ring since September of the previous year. Moreover, it was Ivar’s first appearance since the April 30th WWE NXT episode.
The details of the trademark application are as follows:
“Entertainment services, in particular wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer delivered through broadcasting mediums like television and radio, and also via the internet or commercial online service; offering wrestling news and data through a worldwide computer network; delivering information in sports and entertainment through an online community portal; maintaining a website with sports entertainment information; fan club services, especially organizing sports events in the wrestling field for wrestling fan club members; arranging social entertainment events for the amusement of wrestling fan club members; distributing online newsletters in the sports entertainment domain; online diaries, such as blogs, in the sports entertainment field.”
