WWE has applied for the term “WWE Late Night” as a trademark this week, says the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).
In a report given by Fightful, the decision to file the “WWE Late Night” trademark was officially executed on June 20. This was done under the umbrella of the entertainment services category.
As of now, WWE has not revealed it’s plans behind this trademark application and it’s unclear if it will be used for a new show or a new brand.
Here is the description given in their trademark application:
“Services in the realm of entertainment, specifically wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer provided live and through broadcast mediums including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service. Providing wrestling news and details via a global computer network. Also, providing information in the areas of sports and entertainment through an online community portal. Furthermore, it includes services like providing a website with sports entertainment information; fan club services are included, such as organizing sporting events in the realm of wrestling for the members of wrestling fan club; organizing social entertainment events for amusement purposes for wrestling fan club members. It also covers services like providing online newsletters in the realm of sports entertainment, as well as online journals, specifically blogs, concerning sports entertainment.”
