World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has recently put in a request for a new ring name trademark. This was submitted to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) this past March 13, categorized under entertainment services, specifically “Grande Americano”.
Predictions are that “Grande Americano” would probably be the stage name of the luchador who made his debut three days before the filing date, during the Monday Night RAW episode dated March 10th.
Following is the official trademark details as made public:
“What we’re looking at are entertainment services, which include wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer delivered live and via broadcast media such as television, radio and online platforms; offering wrestling news and updates via a universal computer network; providing information in sports and entertainment via an online community portal; maintaining a sports entertainment information website; fan club services that organize sporting events in the wrestling field specifically for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment and enjoyment of wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the field of sports entertainment; and lastly, online journals, which take the form of blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
