As we have been reporting here on eWn, WWE is interested in STARDOM wrestler Giulia.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that discussions are more serious now as WWE has made an offer to the reigning NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion.

STARDOM and Rossy Ogawa are both aware of WWE’s offer. Giulia is reportedly close to Ogawa and has a verbal agreement to work with the STARDOM co-founder next year.

If Giulia is signed to a main roster deal, she would earn a base salary of $250,000 per year, which is more than what she can make in Japan “by a wide margin.”

However, STARDOM can tackle WWE if Giulia is offered an NXT deal as the Japanese promotion has the financial power to match that offer.

It is to be noted that both Kairi Sane and IYO SKY previously left STARDOM for NXT deals, so there’s no guarantee Giulia would be staying if indeed the promotion matched the WWE NXT deal.

Some in WWE believed that Giulia would appear at the WWE Performance Center earlier this week for a tour, but that didn’t happen. Reports suggest that the Performance Center visit was supposed to be a tryout and not a tour.

Simon Inoki was expected to accompany Giulia as her translator, as her first language is Japanese. Inoki has done similar work for WWE in the past.
