On the 21st of June, WWE officially filed for a trademark for the ring name of “Jacob Fatu.”
The registered trademark relates to services in the entertainment sector, specifically wrestling exhibitions performed by the professional wrestler, Jacob Fatu. The services involve broadcasts through various media channels such as television, radio, the internet, and other commercial online services. The trademark also includes provision of wrestling news and information via global computer networks, sports, and entertainment portals, sports entertainment websites, fan club services as well as the organization of social entertainment events and online sporting journals in the field of sports and wrestling entertainment.
In a separate move, WWE also recently filed for the trademarks of WWE Independent Development and WWE ID.
The official descriptions for these trademarks are geared towards promoting a program for the enhancement, education, and development of WWE athletes. This encompasses educational services and athlete training programs that span across several areas including brand building, communication, promotion, community relation services, and more. These services include live and recorded sports events and exhibitions for both sporting and entertainment purposes. WWE ID and WWE Independent Development also involve the provision of sports, pop culture, and entertainment information through various platforms including TV, radio, the internet, and their online community portal. These trademarks also imply providing wrestling services and wrestling news online.
