WWE Discussing Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler Appearing In NXT

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler could be the next main roster Superstars to make their presence felt in NXT.

Rousey and Baszler are in their first reigns as champions together, while this is the third reign for Baszler, who previously teamed with Nia Jax.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that the pair could make appearances in NXT to help elevate the show. Dave Meltzer wrote,

“There are plans for more major stars to work NXT like Rollins did this week. One name that was at least talked about was Rousey, or perhaps even having Rousey & Baszler defend the women’s tag titles there. But the goal is to use the main roster stars to increase the ratings, and the Rollins experiment was a huge success, so when something works in wrestling the idea is that you usually follow up on it.”

This week’s episode of WWE NXT saw World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins successfully defend his championship against Bron Breakker.

Rollins will next defend his title at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 against Finn Balor. Baszler and Rousey have not been booked for the event.
