As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE filed to trademark the name “Superstars of Tomorrow” for a new program.
According to a new report by Sports Business Journal, the program will be a reality show that follows NIL recruits on their journey to become WWE Superstars.
The show is similar to an upcoming Hulu series that follows Bianca Belair and Montez Ford.
WWE TV EVP Chris Kaiser said of their documentary output, “What we ultimately want to do here at WWE is tell compelling stories that our fans will love, but we also want to tell stories that, if you’re not a WWE fan, you will also love. We want to super-serve our fans as always, because we do have that built-in universe, but we also want other people to discover us and come back.”
WWE SVP of network documentaries Ben Houser added, “We’re able to peel it back and just kind of open the door, and then be like, ‘All right, that’s enough.’ You’re getting a little bit, and we’re sharing some of our world for you to give you the respect and understanding of what’s happening here, but we can’t give it all away. That’s part of why you tune in. I am blown away at the demand and the desire for content from this company. And it’s fun to wake up every day and dive into these things.”

According to a report by Sports Business Journal, “Superstars of Tomorrow” will follow NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) recruits on their journey to becoming WWE Superstars. This concept is similar to an upcoming Hulu series that focuses on the lives of WWE stars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford.
The aim of the show, according to WWE TV EVP Chris Kaiser, is to tell compelling stories that not only resonate with existing WWE fans but also attract new viewers. WWE wants to super-serve their loyal fanbase while also enticing those who may not be familiar with the world of professional wrestling.
Kaiser stated, “We want to tell stories that, if you’re not a WWE fan, you will also love. We want other people to discover us and come back.” This approach reflects WWE’s commitment to expanding its audience and showcasing the unique and captivating stories within the wrestling industry.
Ben Houser, WWE SVP of network documentaries, emphasized the importance of striking a balance between sharing enough behind-the-scenes content to engage viewers and keeping certain aspects of the WWE world a mystery. Houser said, “We’re able to peel it back and just kind of open the door, and then be like, ‘All right, that’s enough.’ You’re getting a little bit, and we’re sharing some of our world for you to give you the respect and understanding of what’s happening here, but we can’t give it all away.”
The demand for content from WWE continues to grow, and the company is excited about the opportunity to dive into these stories every day. Houser expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am blown away at the demand and the desire for content from this company. And it’s fun to wake up every day and dive into these things.”
