WWE Could Wait Until The Day Of SummerSlam To Announce Title Match

The WWE SummerSlam card is nearly complete with top matches such as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes, and more. 

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez has still not been announced because Adam Pearce told Rodriguez on Monday’s RAW that she will get a match against Ripley for her title when she is cleared.

This is a storyline. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted the match is still planned for the show, and once they announce in storyline that she’s cleared, they will make it official. Meltzer added that they might wait until the day of the show to announce it or book it as a surprise bout. 

Meltzer noted that WWE has a time limit on the show.
